In addition to my work as a consultant, I have been running Paderborn’s largest motorcycle forum, the Kurvenjäger Paderborn, on a voluntary basis since 2008. From an initially small group of students who had no desire to explore alone the beautiful roads in the near and far surroundings of Paderborn, has become over the years a group of over 300 members, in which all types of motorcycles and all age groups are represented. In addition to joint rides, safety training and race training, the Kurvenjäger Paderborn have been involved every year for 8 years at St. Nicholas time for the campaign Lichtblicke. Last year we were able to collect the record sum of 1,900 € for the good cause during our St. Nicholas tour, which was rounded up to 3,000 € by us.
Aktion Lichtblicke e.V. is especially concerned with the people among us who have to endure severe blows of fate: The weak and disadvantaged in our society, who have no lobby for their concerns. Here it is above all children who suffer particularly from the emergency situations into which their families fall. It is precisely to the smallest ones that we want to give attention, solidarity and resources. Children are our future and deserve the help of all in solidarity. With our work, we take our social responsibility seriously, want to be a lobby and a voice and actively help those in need in North Rhine-Westphalia. Unbureaucratically, quickly and effectively.
